Ottawa Minibus Rental, Driver Included
The capital is small enough to see in a weekend and full of places a group wants to go together: Parliament Hill, the ByWard Market, the national museums on both sides of the river. With a driver and your own minibus or Sprinter, the day keeps moving and nobody gets left behind.
Arriving at YOW
Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International is about 14 km by road from Parliament Hill, roughly 20 minutes in light traffic. On Level 1, pre-arranged vehicles load at Pillars 12 and 13, on the outer curb, farthest from the terminal doors. Loading isn't allowed upstairs on Departures, so head down to Arrivals to meet your driver.

Around Parliament and the Market
The city marks tour-bus pick-up and drop-off spots close to the sights: George Street's north side by the ByWard Market; Metcalfe from Queen to Sparks, on the east side; Queen from Metcalfe to Elgin, on the south side; and Wellington, on either side, from Kent to Bank.
Once you're off, the driver parks in a signed tour-bus area, on Daly Avenue or Commissioner Street for example, and comes back for you. Parliament Hill has free guided tours, so plan your pickup around the tour time rather than a guess.

Winterlude and the first of July
Canada Day closes Wellington Street and a large part of downtown to traffic; only official pass holders, residents and guests with a hotel booking get through. If you're coming for Canada Day, expect a walk from the drop-off point, and pack water and sunscreen.
Winterlude 2027 runs from January 29 to February 15, spread across Confederation Park, Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau and the Rideau Canal Skateway. A driver means nobody has to hunt for parking between sites with cold fingers.
Across the river and further afield
Gatineau is in Quebec, home to the Canadian Museum of History and, about 20 minutes out, Gatineau Park. Allow about an hour for Parc Omega or Upper Canada Village, and roughly two for Kingston or the Thousand Islands at Gananoque. Montreal and Mont-Tremblant are also about two hours, if you want to add a night.
Your questions
Does Quebec's winter-tire law affect our Ottawa vehicle?
It applies to Québec-registered vehicles only, so an Ontario-registered minibus is exempt when it crosses into Gatineau. For a winter trip, ask how the vehicle is equipped anyway.
Where do we meet the driver after the Parliament tour?
At one of the signed tour-bus pick-up spots, usually on Wellington or Metcalfe. Your driver confirms the exact corner when dropping you off.
Is the Canadian Tire Centre close to downtown?
No. It's in Kanata, in the city's west end, so for a Senators game allow for the drive out and the crowds leaving afterwards.
