London, Ontario minibus hire for beach days, games and gatherings
London is the hub of Southwestern Ontario, with Port Stanley, Grand Bend and Stratford each under an hour away. A driven minibus suits the family reunion, the wedding party or the club heading out to a game.
Arriving at London International
From London International to City Hall is roughly 11 km, twenty minutes if traffic's light. Parking outside the terminal doors isn't allowed and there's no named coach area, so the person collecting you waits in either the cell phone lot or the main car park facing the terminal. Agree the meeting point before you fly.
If your flights come through Pearson instead, it's about 180 km away, roughly two hours on Highway 401.

Conferences at RBC Place
RBC Place London on York Street is the region's largest convention centre. Coaches can't use the garage beneath it, which clears only 2.13 m. Check your minibus's height with the operator rather than assuming it fits, and plan drop-offs at the main York Street entrance or the south entrance on King Street.

Lake towns and a theatre town
Allow 40 minutes to reach Port Stanley or 55 for Grand Bend, both lovely for a summer day by the water. Pack towels and a picnic, and agree a pickup time so nobody has to cut the afternoon short. Stratford is about 50 minutes, perfect for a matinee and an early dinner.
Games, markets and history
Hockey fans come for the Knights, whose arena, Canada Life Place (the old Budweiser Gardens), fits around 9,000. Western Mustangs football is at TD Stadium, and the London Majors play at historic Labatt Memorial Park.
Covent Garden Market has been trading downtown since 1845. Banting House, where the idea that led to insulin began, Eldon House and Fanshawe Pioneer Village make a good heritage day, and Storybook Gardens in Springbank Park suits younger travellers.
Your questions
Can we cross into Michigan for the day?
Yes. Sarnia and the Blue Water Bridge are about an hour away. Windsor and Detroit are about two hours, and the Gordie Howe International Bridge opened there on July 27, 2026, beside the Ambassador Bridge and the tunnel. Everyone needs travel documents accepted by both countries.
Does London's airport have US preclearance?
Not at the moment, so plan US flights with that in mind.
How big a vehicle does a family reunion need?
Tell us the headcount and any luggage or mobility needs. Up to 19 people usually fits a minibus; larger reunions can be quoted a coach.
