Landing in Regina with a team, a family or a wedding party
Regina International lies within the city, a quarter of an hour by road from downtown. Groups meet their vehicle in one clear place: a lane set aside for commercial vehicles in the short-term lot, just over the road.
Across the road from arrivals
Commercial vehicles, apart from the airport's own taxi provider, collect passengers in the commercial lane inside the short-term parking lot, opposite the arrivals doors. The airport publishes a map of that lane and the terminal curb, so you can show everyone where to walk before you leave home.
It's a short crossing, even with hockey bags or a stack of garment bags. Keep the kids close at the road, and let the driver lift the heavy things.

Into Regina
It's about 7 km in a straight line and about 10 km by road to City Hall, around 15 minutes in light traffic. Downtown hotels on Victoria Avenue and Scarth Street, Albert Street to the south and the airport area are all close by.
In town for a Roughriders game at Mosaic Stadium? Plan the day around kickoff, because game-day crowds stretch even a short drive.

Clocks that don't change
Saskatchewan doesn't move its clocks. When the rest of the country springs forward or falls back, Regina stays on Central Standard Time, so a connection that worked in July can look different in November. Check the local time printed on each ticket; pickups are booked in local time, so it is worth getting right.
Good first stops
The Saskatchewan Legislative Building offers free tours in English or French, and groups of 10 or more book ahead; a bus can park by the lake north of the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens, going east on Legislative Drive and then left onto Walter Scott Way. The RCMP Heritage Centre on Dewdney Avenue has on-site motorcoach parking and lets pre-booked groups of 10 or more in before regular opening hours.
Your questions
What makes a good family outing nearby?
Moose Jaw, with its tunnels, is about 70 km away, around 45 minutes. The Qu'Appelle Valley at Fort Qu'Appelle is about 75 km, roughly an hour.
Will driving around the city slow a longer trip down?
Since 2019, the 44 km twinned Regina Bypass has joined Highway 1 to Highway 11 by swinging round the city's southern and eastern edges, so through trips can stay off city streets.
Is there a transit bus from the terminal?
Regina Transit route 24 serves the airport. It works for one or two people travelling light; groups usually book a vehicle.
