Niagara Falls Minibus and Sprinter Rental
Whether it's a family reunion, a wedding weekend in wine country or a club outing to the falls, Niagara is a place where a group wants to stay together. A minibus or Sprinter with a driver takes you from the brink of the Horseshoe Falls to a Niagara-on-the-Lake winery lunch and back, with nobody on designated-driver duty.
Getting here
Toronto is about 1.5 hours away by road. If you're flying, the options are Buffalo Niagara International across the border, roughly 40 km; Hamilton's John C. Munro, about 70 km; and Toronto Pearson, about 125 km.

At the falls and on Clifton Hill
To run tours or sightseeing vehicles anywhere on the Parks' land, an operator needs a daily or annual Niagara Parks permit, and anyone conducting tours there needs the Parks' own guide licence, so ask for a vehicle whose operator holds what the day requires. Coach parking at the attractions should be arranged in advance. Lot A of Falls Parking sits opposite Table Rock Centre, by the Horseshoe Falls, where all of WEGO's lines come together.
On Clifton Hill, groups are set down in the laneway that runs between Niagara Speedway and Dinosaur Adventure Golf; the big lot at 4960 Clifton Hill has more than 700 spaces.

Wine country and the Shaw Festival
Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 25 minutes away and requires every bus to park at its motor coach facility beside Fort George and to follow the posted coach routes. Passengers may be set down only at approved venues: Queen's Landing or Pillar and Post on their own grounds, the Festival Theatre, and, if a Shaw permit is held, the Court House and Royal George theatres.
From January to March, buses may drop passengers at the Queen Street stop outside the Royal George Theatre. Between April and December, the coach park has a free shuttle to the Court House Theatre. For a wedding party, this is worth knowing before you promise guests a door-to-door ride.
Crossing to the American side
The Rainbow Bridge takes buses, the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge takes every type of vehicle, and the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge is for NEXUS members only with limited hours. Buffalo itself is roughly 30 minutes away, plus however long the border takes.
Your questions
What papers do we need for the US side?
For Canadian adults at a land crossing, one of three: a NEXUS card, a passport or an enhanced driver's licence. Children who are Canadian or American citizens can use proof of citizenship until their 16th birthday, or their 19th when crossing with a school or youth group. Other travellers carry a passport and whatever US entry authorization applies.
Can the minibus drop us at a winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
Winery stops are planned with the operator for your date. In the old town itself, set-down is limited to approved venues and buses park near Fort George.
Is there anything to do nearby besides the falls?
Plenty. About 20 minutes away is the Welland Canal Centre at Lock 3, in St. Catharines, and the Whirlpool Aero Car, Butterfly Conservatory and Floral Clock line the Niagara Parkway.
