From the Ship to Your Next Stop

Five Canadian cruise ports have their own page. Choose yours for where vehicles collect passengers and how far the favourite outings are.

Starting or ending a cruise

Vancouver is a home port for Alaska sailings, most of them between May and September, so many passengers begin or finish their holiday at Canada Place. Pickups there are in the orange zone on the P1 level. Montréal handles many turnaround calls too, which makes an airport-to-ship transfer a common request.

Shore days with a clock running

In Halifax, tour vehicles load right in front of the terminals, and Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg are favourite outings. Victoria's Ogden Point is only 2.4 km from the city centre. In Quebec City, the port suggests being back at the wharf at least 2 hours before the ship leaves, so plan the day backwards from that.

Your questions

What details help with a cruise booking?

The ship name, the date, the docking and all-aboard times, how many are travelling and where you want to go.

Are guides and tickets included?

The booking covers the vehicle and driver. Entry tickets and guides are separate unless your quote says otherwise.

Is the season year-round?

No. Most calls fall between spring and autumn, and Halifax runs into November.
