Montreal's Cruise Terminals Without the Luggage Juggle

Many ships calling at Montreal begin or end their voyage here, so there are flights, hotels and suitcases on both sides of the cruise. Your own minibus or Sprinter, driver included, keeps the party and the bags in one place from Montréal-Trudeau to the quayside.

Know which terminal is yours

The Grand Quay, at 200 De la Commune Street West, holds Terminals 1, 2 and 4. For Terminal 3 you go in by the Berri gate, farther east along De la Commune, and some ships tie up at berths B1 and M5 on des Moulins (Mill Street). Find the terminal in your cruise documents and pass it on with the booking; it changes your driver's route.

Landing at Montréal-Trudeau

Expect a drive of 25 to 40 minutes from the airport, which lies about 20 km west of the port. Before the day, the pickup is checked in online. Your group then finds its driver upstairs by Door 7 (Departures level), and the driver must show the confirmation email there. Someone from the transport organizer should be on hand to gather everyone.

Vehicles can't sit at Door 7 waiting, so the driver comes forward from the airport's waiting area once everyone is together.

The terminals

  • Berths B1 and M5, 851 des Moulins (Mill Street)

  • Terminal 4, also at the Grand Quay
  • Terminals 1 and 2, Grand Quay, 200 De la Commune Street West, Old Montréal

Old Montréal on foot, and by minibus

The terminals are a short walk from Old Montréal, with the Square-Victoria and Place-d'Armes metro stations nearby. Driving through is another story. Place Jacques-Cartier and the stretch of rue Saint-Paul Est from Saint-Laurent to Marché-Bonsecours were car-free from mid-April to late October 2026, and the pedestrian-priority zone is set to spread through 2030. Those dates were for one season, so your driver works from the closures in force for your trip.

With a spare day, Mont-Tremblant takes roughly an hour and a half by road, and the Eastern Townships around Magog about 1.25 hours. Quebec City, about three hours by road, pairs well for anyone visiting both ports.

Your questions

Can the vehicle park at the port while we check in?

There's a car park on the Grand Quay with space for up to 250 vehicles, but trailers and motorhome-type vehicles are turned away. The port publishes no coach staging area, so the operator plans where your driver sets down and waits.

Could we just use transit or a taxi?

The STM's 747 bus runs straight from the airport to downtown, and a flat taxi fare covers the airport-to-Grand Quay trip. Fine for a couple with light bags; a family with a dozen suitcases will find one vehicle simpler.

What if our flight times change?

Send the flight number and landing time with your booking. The airport check-in asks for an approximate pickup time, so tell us about changes quickly.
